Review: The staff were accommodating and provided excellent service, making the experience enjoyable. The room was spacious and the amenities included a kettle and mini fridge, which were nice touches. noise from the bar could be distracting at night, and the breakfast setup left room for improvement. , rating: 8, date of stay: 2024-05-15}

Stay here was fantastic, I didn't want to leave. Overall it was immaculate and accommodating with fridge. The location of the hotel was central, close enough to all tourist areas and good area.
Its breakfast certainly should of been included.

The room we got barely resembled the photos online. It was cramped and smelled awful. The shower was a nightmare-low water pressure made it impossible to get warm. Honestly, I've stayed in better hostels. Definitely not worth the price.

We had a lovely stay at the Clee Hotel with our 6-month-old baby. The staff were welcoming, and our room felt more like a cozy home than a hotel. While parking was limited, we managed to find a spot. an enjoyable and relaxing experience!

Personal and friendly service. Excellent facilities in room which was airy, bright and comfortable with thoughtful little extras. Easy internet access and all the eccentric displays of colonial memorabilia. Good honest food very reasonably priced. A little gem and I'll go again.

I can't believe how uncomfortable the mattress was-definitely needs replacing. Plus, the lack of privacy was a real issue, no net curtains or blinds to help. I felt exposed, especially with noisy neighbors chatting away. Not a great stay.

Second time i've stayed. Owners give the impression that nothing is too much trouble for them, and unusual to stay in a family run place these days. Executive rooms worth the premium.

An inviting atmosphere at The Clee. Spacious room with a comfortable bed caught my attention right away. Clean linen and complimentary tea, coffee, and sweets were thoughtful touches. The breakfast offered a good continental spread, with fresh options available for self-service. The staff, especially the owner, showed really good kindness and helpfulness, even providing directions to local attractions. The hotel's quirky decor added charm to the experience, highlighting unique artifacts. A downside was the narrow and steep stairs, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues. Breakfast seating area felt cramped. Limited drink options at the bar were disappointing, especially for those seeking something beyond basic soft drinks. Nevertheless, easy access to the beachfront and local eateries made it convenient. I would happily recommend this hotel, especially for its warm hospitality and cozy environment.

Breakfast was included in the price and the price was as advertised - unlike some chain hotels where rates advertised on hoardings and in newspapers etc are far below what is actually charged. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.
Being phoned whilst in a meeting at work to explain the card machine doesn't work at the hotel - having already had to give my full card details online. This isn't a complaint but the length of the call made me look silly at work and also it made me a tiny bit nervous that my details could be used or whatever although I'm sure that won't happen. Also - this is only a niggle but the adverts clearly state there is internet access and there isn't, which was a bit frustrating as I had reports to finish and email off. It didn't actually stop me so as I say only a niggle. Staff were friendly to a fault.
